One thing you gotta understand is even if we beat the primals that doesn't mean we have the power of 1000 men, we might have the power of 100 or less but the one mayor advantage we had with the primals was our immunity to being tempered i bet many npc could of beat a primal with immunity to temper, and our power of light doesn't work on normal humans.
As for our passiveness as much as i hate it, it was for the best because monetarist have the most power they can easly bend the facts and make people doubt us and treat the scions as criminals, even then gridania and limsa have their hands tied because going into war with uldah to defend us would be the worst outcome as they are all expecting garleans to swoop in at any moment and crush eorzea.

If they just had the Echo they wouldn't be able to kill primals. The blessing of light allowed us to have strengths past mortal limits. The Echo only allows us to know all languages, not being tempered by primals and see past events but can't interfere with them. I am pretty sure Minfilia can't kill primals even though she has the Echo.Quote:

Here i thought the blessing of the light only gives us power to fight aetherial beings on equal ground, but now i remember the cs in prae when fighting gaius and yeah we are buffed up with the light, even so our protection was removed and nabrales states that our "fangs" have been removed.

I agree with the OP, it's a ridiculous to have 4 mooks and a potato arrest any of us after we killed a 10-storey Godzilla. That's the start of the shaky execution of the 2.55 story. It's refreshing to see some people like the OP who had the stones to call out the bizarre and poor conclusion of the ARR story for what it was.
Many of things were basically forced down our throats (such as the "dramatic" Scion deaths, laughable) in order to roll out the red carpet for Heavensward.Thanks to our efforts in saving the realm from primals, imperials, Gojira, and Hildibrand's detective skills - we are now de facto fugitives in the very city states we put so much at stake for. Yoshi-P said that the goal of the story was to make players feel a sense of heroism, and that their actions would change Eorzea as an agent of light. After one and a half years of storytelling, our characters are now defined by total INACTION and we're not even agents of the light anymore. Talk about a rubbish payoff. -

You can be outnumbered you know, it's impossible to take on an army of trained soldiers in a confined space when you lack the element of surprise and are caught off guard. You have to consider the fates of the others with you and try not to endanger their lives with reckless heroism. As for taking down primals and what not you certainly didn't solo them. It took a concerted effort of fellow elite adventurers to fell those beasts, sure you could have put up a fight and beat down some guards but it was basically a suicide mission and retreat was the best option.Quote:

Your warrior would have eventually been overwhelmed and been killed or captured and as a Scion they always try to take a path of non-involvement in political affairs/intrigue to avoid a show of favoritism. The amount of "I'm this invincible hero who should be able to do anything!" is appalling. It's like people have no understanding concept that every character as limits, including their own. I've already stated I felt that the ending could have perhaps maybe be handled better, but this amount of bickering is ridiculous.

I really didn't like how the whole party scene went down. I feel like someone could have helped out. But I think we'll see everyone make a return in 3.0, I don't think a limit break and some holy magic is going to stop Hydaelyn from saving them.
