since when a bot talk to other ppl and put up a PF ? afaik the botter usually use 2nd character and not their main when they bot or I am behind the time with old info ?
No it doesn't, you can put on afk symbol manually via search info editing and it won't turn off automaticaly, atleast for me it worked that way, when I wanted to stay afk (because one person bothered me, not via tell but via fc chat) and I was still able to do things (not talking about trials, that would make obvious that I wasn't afk even with afk symbol). So using AFK symbol as a way to tell if person is bot or not is not 100% useful.
After reading this, I hopped onto the game decided to try out your method to see if you were right. NOPE. The moment you interact with the client in any way (such as pressing any key on the keyboard, or tilting the joystick on gamepads), the game slaps you out of "away from keyboard" and into "online" status. I'm curious as to what you're referring to. Are you sure you're not confusing the "busy" status for the "away from keyboard" status? We're not talking about someone just standing there in Mor Dhona, mind you - someone with the AFK symbol, running around the map and doing actions such as completing FATEs and gathering from nodes. Actual bots.
Come on now. Based on the wording of the OP, and his subsequent posts, its pretty obvious the thread was made for attention seeking. Not to argue an actual point. ''bashing'' you say? The OP is full of holes. It's a one 100% one-sided story that just doesn't make much sense.
It would be stranger if noone questioned it.
Yep, I don't think there's a setting in ff14 to disable the auto clear afk thing when moving.. I think WoW has it.
But in ff14, such option doesn't exist (surprise! surprise!)
So, people that are afk and moving around (not auto-run) are definitely bots.
Which makes me wonder, if the game can differentiate the two different kinds of actions, why are they having so much trouble figuring it out?
