No love for V-day.

This kinda *is* SE's game to write it and do with it as they will. I'd like to play their version of the game and not every individuals version of how and what it should be. It's a Valentine's event for crying out loud, it isn't the end of the world because all minorities/sexual preferences/religions/cultures/personal lifestyles aren't exhibited in every event/side quest/main story quest. No one is ever going to be entirely happy with everything, it's life. I feel for SE because I see them trying, despite their own cultural differences. Then we get threads like this.

Marriage announced

Demographic cries out on the beta threads and when 2.0 launched about SS marriage, then claims SE is homophobic and discriminatory, petitions are made and articles are written against SE.

SE makes name/ overallchanges to the system to appease the loud group and everyone is happy

Valentine's Day event comes along

Demographic cries about the event only focusing on certain groups of people and demands changes

I'm guessing SE has to change everyone so no one will be offended.

Honestly, it's only a problem if you make it a problem. People take offense to things way too easily.

You could spend forever trying to ensure you have the correct mix of race/gay/straight/bi/monogamous/pan/pologumous relationships in game.

Can't we just play for fun without crying because our exact specification isn't mirrored by an in game character.

is just a quest, they openly show support in the eternal bond and other quests, we can argue about then not supporting interracial couples under the same statement if that so. Stop drama, FF is a nice place for everybody, except latinos their languages don't exist for SE lol but I'm not offended by that.

Like I said, missed opportunity and a unique one that could show that sexuality/love can sometimes be based on a PERSON and not gender.

actually the more i think about it the more it seems like maybe hortefense may have been originally intended to be female...

But.. but... it's just a seasonal event, just for FUN. I'm sure the devs didn't mean to offend anyone by not including same sex couples in the quest events, be glad that they let same sex couples marry. Don't think to much about it, it's just an event in a MMO.

What she said is pretty valid and was quite saddened this was ignored, so can we please stop the bickering about the lack of homosexual couples for one specific event and have everyone getting along for once? Whether there's representation or not does it really matter?
