One thing that as a non ative english speaker keeps confusing me is the use of the term "Map Redesign".

This is one of my most wanted things in the entire game.
Does "Map Redesign" mean the same as "Zone Redesign"?

I have no problem with the hand-drawn beautiful paper maps but the zones have no theme or visual originality whatsoever.

I really hope this leads to some striking visual design like in other Final Fantasy games and not as just moving around some trees to make them look less copy/pasted.

Yay for jump confirmation and I can't wait for chocobos. I really hope 1.19 isn't another 2 months away!

Yeah, "Map redesign" refers to altering and embellishing the actual zones themselves, not the navigational maps.

What is your native language? Your English is much better than most of the 'native speakers' who post here. :p

Joking aside, I sure do hope he meant zone redesign by "map redesign" and it's not just tricky wording to remake the maps >_>

That's interesting that it takes 6 months to design a set of gear. But then, considering that a "Set" of gear may contain upwards of 100 individual pieces, I guess that's not too bad.
