NA/EU Servers Offline

NA/EU Servers offline again as of
1:45 PM EST 9/2/13

Please SE an immediate response is necessary.

I wish the servers would crash properly, that'd clean all the AFKers out

Apparently Were tech support around here.

ATTENTION SE:

Your NA/EU servers are down again.
your NA/EU servers have been up and down for an hour, and your lobby servers are being restarted as well.

PLEASE and update for your paying player base.

All morning I've been getting the "NA/EU servers cannot be located" or whatever, but the JP ones show up. However on the website all servers are listed as being up.

This is the point in the day when I get back from lunch and start wondering who's going home tonight and not coming back to work at SE in the morn.

You are aware this is a huge AAA title MMORPG launch still and they don't get holidays.

Please get with the program, lots of people work on labor day in important jobs, this isnt walmart or mcdonalds (though even they're at work). I earned my time off cause my customers are happy and my software is supported well and working.

Ya just started today for me, getting an error logging in 2002, or if i get past that the NA/EU worlds wont load .. i got passed it once then to have it kick me in trying to log in ...

I think to my self .. why did i log out ??? to deal with this crap ..

Wednesday. They're not going to fix it any sooner.

Here's the funny bit. I know for fact the NA/EU servers are not down right now. and it has not been down at all. How do I know? because there's 2 of us play the game. I got kicked out of the game, and I can not log back in. I been trying for last hour. And all of sudden NA/EU servers are not showing up on the lobby list. Yet, person sitting next to me, is still logged in to the game, and been playing all morning. So, Why is that?

Exactly, tired of server status on lodestone saying the servers are up when the client tells me communication has failed etc.

I remember buying this game a while back, strange that I can't play it now...

For me they have one chance to keep me after not being able to play since launch, which is the maintenance on the 4th. If that does not help I will look for something else.

Don't get me wrong, the game itself is fantastic but not that great to look at a login screen for hours on end.

It's strange, when JP servers are down, it takes some time for the EU/NA server list to show. Probably waiting for the timeout of the JP server list. But when EU/NA server is down, you get the JP server list and right away saying EU/NA is down.

Just tried to login into a JP Server, everything works perfectly there....


Edit: Forget that, the server kicked me in seconds and now i cant log in, this is just ridiculous...

Labor Day may be a holiday in the US but since this is a JP game, I don't think it applies. Broaden your horizons.

I just made a new character on the JP server Hades just so I could play.

I can tell you one thing, the servers are just up and running without any problems once you can get in!
I have been online whole day long without any problems and just logged out due to a problem on my end and cannot get back in, my gf has been trying to log in for about 3 hours while I was just in the game without any problems. The servers cannot handle the load of all the people trying to get in but once you can get in there is no problem at all.
So no, the servers are not down and they havent been down for a second whole day long.

Ok, so this error 2002 thing isn't just me then?

It's an issue with the lobby connecting to the US/EU servers. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.

Moral of the story: Don't ever log out. Sad but true. I should have stayed logged in over night.

I'm fully aware that this is a JP game, that's why the JP issues are being dealt with today, and not when they are on a holiday, like what happened during the beta. Noone is in to deal with the NA issue until maybe tomorrow at the earliest.

Is it possible they have it set up, if servers are completely full(everywhere) or too many people are trying to log in, they just make it look as if servers are not unavailable? It makes absolutely no sense at all, when I know for fact sever is up and running and I can see that there are people playing (via the other person in the house) yet, I'm getting 2002 error or severs not showing up on the list... There's got to be some logically explanation for that. If Severs are completely off line, there shouldn't be any one able to play... regardless of if they were already logged into the game or not. This has been going on all weekend. I got to log in for like 2 hours, if that, today... I got kicked out of the server friday night, couldn't get in the game at all sat and sun. with same issues we are having now. Yet, from my other post, I know there were people that were able to log in and play the game all weekend long... I just want SE to come clean and explain what's going on. If they set the limit on the server and after that it pushes out certain error message than just say that. Personally, I'd be hell of lot less frustrated if I know that's what it is than not knowing what's going on at all and wasting time while I'm at home trying to log into the game every so many min. Just saying... what happens this issue isn't resolved by the maintenance after wed? Players are frustrated and I personally will NOT pay to play a game that I am unable to log into. Or have to spend 3-5hours trying to log in to a game after work and only may be have 30 min to play by the time I'm finally able to log into. If I'm paying SE to play, I expect to be able to log into the game when I want to. Or at the least have a Queuing system where once you log into the lobby, it will automatically log you in the game.

Get over it. Seriously. This is the first week of an MMO launch. Plus they have already announced that wednesday maintenance will add capacity and new servers. Now, if things are still bad like now after that maintenance, we can keep on complaining.

But right now it seems pointless. The problem is well known and surely won't go away before that schedule.

I really hope they can fix this because when you manage to login the game is really great, not like the crap 1.0 was.

Anyone else getign a strange login error where you hit Start and then it gives you 1017. Like before you even select a character to login with lol?

PPL get angry when there are AFKers, but you have to understand that thos AFKers stay AFK cos before they had to keep trying to log in 1 hour or more, and when they get to log in they rather to leave the character AFK then trying to log in again.

Seems they did a copy paste announcement on the forums for the EU servers but forgot to edit before submitting it; Linky.

Check the title for who they were targeting.... leastwise I hope that was a copy paste error.

I'm sure a lot of the reason why servers are full is because players are not logging out. BUT, I understand what you are saying though. After week of trying, I finally decided to get up and log in early friday morning... and once I was able to, I left for work... I was only able to play friday night for the first time since launch because I did that. It was the only way to actually to be able to play the game. It is very sad, that we have to do that... and I felt really bad for people who may not be able to play because I was still logged in but, I really wanted to play too.

Well, as far as we can see, SE is showing us how not to handle a game LAUNCH, and that they've lost all their potential in these matters...

They were online for 10mins but unfortunately the worlds I got toons on are full :/
Now they're offline again.

THey have been up all morning my friends are playing right next to me but the server list wont show for anyone trying to get in now, it's rather silly at this point in launch, because now people will log in and never log out because they wont know when they can play again.

I agree, 10 of us all picked up the game together, 8 of us that were super excited to play cant get in and the 2 that criticized the game are already level 30. Where is the Justice! lol. I will just have to avoid Mumble for a while so they don't spoil everything.
