Getting an "APPLY NOW" e-mail is kind of irksome since I HAVE DONE and no invite

I'm not whining about not getting accepted, I realise there are reasons why some players get invited and others don't.

However, I do find it irksome to get an e-mail telling me to APPLY NOW on an account which has already done so.

It begs the question, did my application not make it?

Surely it was easy to check if there had already BEEN an application made for an account before sending out this spam?

Well C L E A R L Y they ran out of proper applicants and need to find more.

Question is: Can you apply again? Does it tell you cant apply because your Application has already been submitted?

im scared to apply again since they say doing so will get it revoke thou someone say it wont let you apply.. still stating there applying again will get revoked, im not going to do so.. really... =.=

I mean how LAZY they are JUST to check IF we have APPLIED alpha or not? IF we DID applied, we SHOULDN'T get this notification right? :p

Very insulted to say the least.

I'm also one of the thousands that will have received this email. even people I know who got invited within alpha got it...

Would be easier to make the alpha open... so when they hit quota for they're testing they can can lock the server so on so forth.

When i saw the email this morning i thought... wtf, are you kidding me?

There are many people upset on how the Alpha selection process has been done. You cannot simply send a wave of spam-emails asking now for Applications, as if those legacy members who applied were not considered at all. Do you need Alpha Testers? Accept the damn applications you received!

Woke up to this email, got my hopes up when I saw ARR Alpha in the subject thinking I got invited. Then I saw the content....

Wasn't exactly thinking highly of S-E at that moment.

It is kinda funny actually. Even more funny that a rep adds salt into the wound by coming into this thread and trolling it further with a generic stock message about waiting for an alpha invite. ROFL.

I received this e-mail very late last night, I saw in French in the title the words: Square-Enix, FINAL FANTASY XIV, Alpha, and Testeurs.
So, I thought, yeah I finally got my invitation!!!
So, I went immediately to sleep very happy, thinking I will install the game after work the day after.

This morning, I read the e-mail to find that it was only an Apply Now e-mail...

I yelled （（（（ヽ(｀０´）ノ））））

Maybe SE only send this e-mail to EU people.

I got so damn happy to see the "troll-alpha-apply-now" thinking it was an Alpha invitation (like going to their site and register temporarily in Alpha and download client...) but when i read what was inside................................................................................. really? I cant apply again, so why whould i get this e-mail? This was a really mean troll from SE..... I'm about to rage-quit checking my e-mail everyday for an Alpha invite and just keep playing with friends on the current game we're at. Seriously... sooo happy about the e-mail and it was a total troll..... I learned that i'll never get happy or excited about an invitation again untill i read the full damn e-mail.

They're using another Square-Enix Account to apply, because if you actually tried to use the same one, you get a message saying you've already submitted an application.

It's like the best practical joke at the moment...

I am truly sorry that some of us haven't been chosen for Alpha but... come on now, you gotta laugh at this :D

I canceled all my FFXI accounts, I feel better now!

I have applied on all 4 of my accounts and no invite yet :( And I get the stupid emails saying "apply now"
