Self sufficient gathering?

Hey guys, just wanted to ask (probably should've been on either DoL or DoH forum, but since not sure which one as I address both so I'll drop them here :P)

What are your suggestions on stuff to gather to be self sufficient for your crafters? So far I've been doing botany, and managed to supply myself going this route: Moko Grass->Cotton Boll->Walnut Log and Gridanian Walnut->Millioncorn. I usually get 4 stacks of each item before going to the next one. Any suggestions on what else to grab?

I know moko grass and cotton boll helped me a lot with weaver. Walnut log also helped me out with carpentry. I think I could have gone elm log instead of cotton boll since it had npc, but either helps. Any other suggestions for the next levels? I'm now waiting it out for flax because I have no idea what's good for 26-30, probably more millioncorns.

Millicorn is good for culinarian not weaver, 26>30ish for weaver is diremite webs which are monster drop only.

You could always do mining and supply yourself with ores for Armorer, Blacksmithing and Goldsmithing... :)

I made a lot of diremite webs from my cotton bolls! I think I have just enough to get me through to 31 weaver. I haven't gone into mining sadly, I think might go for it a bit later since now going for the botany.. And yeah I kind of plan to 50 all DoHs but maybe in one year or so.. hence the millioncorns, just saving up for them

It really depends on how cheap/thrifty you want to be. Not evey weaver recipe requires leather but some do. Not all leathworking require rivets but some do. No all blacksmithing/armorsmith recipes require wood or cloth but some do. Roughly 90% of all recipes can be made solely by gathered components. Goldsmtihing/mining is the only profession combo that is practically self-sufficient. It just depends on how much money you want os save while crafitng an item.
