L1 key function.
You all know we can cycle through hot bars with the R1 key, however it only cycles in ONE DIRECTION (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-1-2-3 etc), and it is sometime very inconvenient. Suppose I am at Hot Bar 3 and wanna switch to Hot Bar 2, instead of pressing one button I have to press 7 buttons. I know I can change to a desire Hot Bar immediately by R1 + a button, but in a chaotic fight my brain WILL be messed up, and thus making it even harder than pressing R1 7 time.
I need a change to the L1 key. I would rather not have the auto-run button, and have the L1 key as a key to cycle the hot bar IN AN OPPOSITE DIRECTION as the R1 key (8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-8-7-6 etc).
Any thought about this?

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Rarely do I ever use auto run because the terrain is so beautifully unstable and not just a flat land so I drive with my joysticks. Often in a battle I switch bars and accidentally skip the desired bar so instead of being able to press L1 to go backs bar, I have to skip over multiple bars to get back where I need to be. I find myself pressing L1 anyways because my brain sees that as logical, yet it doesn't work.

Are you aware of the Enable Customization while in combat option in the Character Customization -> Hotbar -> Cross tab menu? You can limit the rotation of the R1 button to only cycle a select set of cross bars. I limit it to two and find other ways to shrink the bar usage so that I only have need of those two (with bar change and copy macros depending on usage).
