Relics? Also 2.1 patch should have new gear.
Armorer does no relic melds and makes no pre-relic gear. They are fortunate, however, in that they make the only two pieces of two-star armor that are philotome-efficient, so if you have people around who are smart enough to ask, you can make them armor better than Darklight at lower stone cost. Otherwise, nope. But seriously, leveling crafters for the sake of an occasional relic meld? C'mon, man. The time and gil investment leveling a crafter to 50 isn't going to be offset by relic melds.
Reika's thread deconstructs the problem well enough. "New recipes!" isn't fixing the horrible imbalance in recipe cost. Where crafting should be about tough-to-make HQs and rare ores, materials are all abundant except the ones which require battle classes collect them, and those materials cost the same resources as Darklight and require twice as many for just a chance at getting an equivalent piece of armor.
I'm not going to complain about being able to make ilvl 70 tank or DRG gear, but where are the high-level ALC and CUL main hand recipes?
