Bard item question - Gryphonskin vs Darklight

Im curious ; how does full Gryphonskin compare to Darklight armor ?

The gryphonskin also got materias available etc. Both are level 70 ilvl iirc.

you will spend more buying the items to make gear that is either weaker or equal to DL then it will cost to get the darklight.

the only worth while piece for the cost is the chest.

But it could be worthwhile, if your sick and tired of running crappy AK runs, or other of the insanely boring dungeons there is atm?

Except to get a certain mat for those items, you need tomestones, and many of them too. At minimum 1125 per piece you want to make, sometimes double or triple that.

Or you can buy the items that you need. I don't know which one is for gryphonskin, but Coke on my server runs only 40k for instance

not even close to correct... this is why most players are terrible. They read garbage like this and think its correct. a HQ gryphon piece has the same stat budget as a darklight piece with the ability to add materia... Most of the pieces are going to cost more philo tomes then darklight on top of needing to get very lucky with wild melds for sall if any increase. Nothing crafted will come close to being as good as AF2 gear seeing how all but 3 peices of AF2 gear are BiS for bards.

the order inwhich you should get items to get the most bang for the buck with myth for the first several items is - pants bow belt chest unless you get the crafted chest the chest moves closer to the end.

there are only 3 worth while drops out of coild the boots ring and bracers. All the current in game bracers are crap but the drop ones have the least amount of bad stats.

granted i'll admit before i did all the math i spent nearly 900 myth on my hat and ring, while not bad options in any way as they are BiS it just slowed down me getting the bigger DPS upgrades... mostly the pants, the pants grants you 2.3% crit over darklight while not effecting accuracy to the point of allowing misses (450 is what is needed in coil from what my guild has seen)

Say if I have full Gryphonskins, which Myth gears would give me the most bang for the buck?

Or more precisely, I'm currently equipped with Gryphonskin Chest, Gloves, Pants, and Boots (all 3 melded), with one 5 melded Gryphonskin Ring and Relic +1. Rest are all DLs except the Chapeau.
Should I replace my DL Ring and Belt first? Or is it better to replace any of the Gryphonskins I currently wear with Myth gear?
