Finally got myself to 45, I looked at the new recipe and sighed, snurble tufts, more farming?
Anyone have a better way of tackling the last 5 levels? Tradecraft Leves? But, which one

Well, if you are not completely opposed to grinding, make a ton of linen yarn and undyed linen. Used in a variety of crafting classes, so it's easy to sell, or you can turn it into linen equipment for additional experience. Flax is usually pretty cheap.
I made a lot of woolen deerstalker x's and felt robes x1 in Mor Dhona leves to get from 47 to 50 today. :)
Current system, the highest levequest levels you can HQ and actually obtain mats for.
Thanks for the all suggestions.
I'm grinding on Woolen Threads for 5.5k xp each attempt before 50% bonus from GC purchased buff. Then I'll use the threads to make felt chausses for the Lv.45 tradecraft leves, I think this will bring me to 50 before too long.
While I'm at it, how do you weavers make money? I'm sitting at 20k gil and almost 46 Weaver, I'm at a lost on what to make and sell.
If you have some spare leves just do linen leves or go for the single hq turnin leves, they tend to give more xp per material.
I'm only sitting on 250K or so. As such I haven't really proven my ability to make gill. I think I've gone through that much since ARR launched and I made it all on the Market board. If you have Botany to 40, sell materials. Otherwise there are 40 levequests that can HQ to 1200 or so gill per turn in. If you control your points and manage them though that's only 3600 a day. A slow road to riches.
Levequest are definitely the way to go. I haven't looked at all them for weaver since I was 50 for ARR but my armor I lucked out turning in cobalt ingots at 45 and went from 45-50 in about 10 min (they were already crafted). Maybe see if there is a crafter would gear that could hq the items for you if you gave him a little kick back :)
