Cutter's Cry: Ant Boss
OMG!!! What a pain this thing is sometimes! What strategy works best for you guys? Apologies for the noob thread, im only lv 41.
Typically i see:
1. Healer kites, tank tanks boss, dps all smash up the boss and ignore adds
2. Healer focus' on tank, tank flashes all adds, dps kill marshall, then boss
3. Healer kites, tank and dps kill marshal, then they ignore adds and punch the ant.
Best way to go?
Now ive beaten it a few times but usually ppl want me to do different things.
-
1. Healer shouldn't kite, no one should kite, kill things as they come.
2. DPS can off-tank if needed, kill adds as they come, the guardian/marshal whatever it's called first.
3. Burn the boss once the adds are dead.

I did it flashing non-stop while the others were killing the adds one by one, but the best solution is to use caster LB.
I did this just one time, the others were smooth, killing them as they pop.

The fastest runs I've had were when the healer grabbed aggro of all the adds and kited while everyone else focused on the boss. Even when she's regening as long as you focus fire she goes down fast, though it only really works when the party has enough damage to burn her down.

Something ive done recently:
If not enough DPS to nuke, tank the ant, have the dps kill the soldiers while i take on the marshal. When the guard ant appears, dps takes them out. After guard is down (marshal is by then too) spam destory ant. And repeat. After doing this once it was like a beam of light from heaven, so much easier.
