Why hasn't duty finder been deactivated?

If duty finder is the main cause of this login server congestion why hasn't it been turned off for the time being.

What's more important seriously? The convenience of an auto party dungeon finder for a week which isn't essential or the ability for all your customers to be able to log in stress free.

Yoshi stated he wanted A Realm Reborn to be a stress free gaming experience for everyone.

Well he totally fucked that up didn't he. Because to be quite honest I've never been so fucking stressed out with a computer game, and this has been going on for over a week now.

Turn off duty finder and open up servers more until this shit is sorted out.

I cant even imagine how many potential new players SE has lost because of this fiasco, players that don't really care about the game but gave it a try...couldn't log in...took it back to shop for refund... gone forever.

They can't turn duty finder off because:

1. It's the entire instance server - What this means if they turn it off you can't even do solo instances because people from 1.0 wanted everything in an instance, so enjoy.
2. You can't complete the story without doing duty finder even if you make a party beforehand.
3. You can't level in dungeons that aren't related to the story because you have to use the duty finder even again if you make a party before.

So, unless they make an update where Duty Finder is OPTIONAL, even if this was the cause they can never turn it off without interrupting most of the game's content.

Anything involving instancing involves the duty finder. That includes story quests, dungeons on the same server, the primals, anything. I think they realize that isn't how they want people to experience their game, so that's an unacceptable solution.

I may very well be wrong, but this is the impression I got from early access problems and how they handled them.

Well its a design flaw in the server architecture then and a very serious one, its boggles my mind that something like this was not anticipated.

Why are the instance servers shared with the login server, why are they even linked?

Because it is required for many important quests (Story/Class/Relic) AND is end game for those who are 50 on all classes.
If they disable it all you can do is fates/gathering and non-instanced quests (which is enough for leveling to be honest) but it would mean the players won't know what is really going on since it will feel like a single player game with a chat.

They did chose the lesser evil and restricted login to the servers. I'm not saying I like it either but well...you can't do anything about it whether you quit or not.)

My only hope is that they fix this by Wednesday.
