Final Fantasy XI: A Realm Reborn (A general question/discussion.)
I've got to play FFXIV:ARR more, and while FFXIV is indeed much easier than FFXI, I like it a lot. I never felt lost like I did in FFXI, always wondering if I forgot to talk to this NPC more than enough times to make sure I can trigger this CS to get ready for this Battle.. I got to discussing with my LS friend on XI (Many hoped for a FFXI 2.0, i guess). But then I got thinking. What if it was to be the other way around? What if they took Final Fantasy XI and remastered everything in the engines and lay out from that of FFXIV? Re-did it all and made it more streamlined for the masses? Instead of the PS2 - PC and PS4. The Same world, expansion, and add-ons, etc. FFXIV is unprecedented in the fact that No other MMO has ever rebooted the way it had, and had a turn out so large. 330k+ people. So I wanted to tickle the hypothetical. If they were to reboot FFXI the same way, would you think the story, lore, and environments (To name a few) Would get people to play?
