Quest Rewards

What do you think is best to select as quest rewards?

If an item is only a very small upgrade, I will usually select the coins that are sold for gil.

However, I don't know how the spirt bound or materia systems work in the game, so I don't know if I am choosing the best option or missing out on some materials that may be needed in the future.

unless the quest reward is a unique item then you are not missing out on anything because almost all items can be crafted.

Based on your answer, sounds like if the new gear is not a good upgrade, I should just keep choosing the coins to sell for gil. Thanks!
