Just my thoughts about the game! Feel free to discuss!

Hi, everyone!
Just wanted to share some thoughts about the game!

I really enjoy 2.0 rather than 1.0. Sure, I only played the beta for the 1.0 but I knew when I played it, that I wasn’t going to enjoy it very much. I really love the rework of the combat and majority of the mechanics.

-Dungeons
Being a previous WoW player from TBC, I really hate how that game has become, especially PvE. The dungeons are just chain pulling and AOE everything down to farm gear. Sure there are some hard fights here and there but Heroics are mostly a joke. However, in this game I like how dungeons are gradually getting harder as you level. Being Warrior/44, I like the difficulty of dungeons as you level. The beginning ones are very new player friendly, but as you progress it is starting to require CC such as “Sleep”. I think rather than blindly charge at pack of mobs, planning out position and what to kill first and CC makes dungeons so much better, and fun.

-Quests/Lore
The main quest line is very interesting. I’ve never played a MMORPG where I wanted to do quest just to know the story and not just to level quickly. I’ve heard English voice acting is terrible, but I listen with Japanese version and it seem pretty good. I do think it lack voice acting though; I hope they add way more. I also enjoy reading the side quests. It is surprisingly funny sometimes and good at the same time. I hope new players and current leveling players to actually read and enjoy the content as I did and will. However, as I level higher and higher I think there is lack of quests. This makes players to turn to “Fate grinding” to catch up in levels for the main story quest. I’m sure everyone agrees, it isn’t the best time. Running around the map just to get to fate and finally arriving and Fate finishes in front of your eyes, in my opinion it really isn’t that fun. Adding more quests into higher level would allow you to transition more smoothly through the zones.

-Server Stability
In beta p3, I honestly did not have any problems with thegame. However, in p4 I did get locked out pretty early because of the infamous 3102 error. I must say I was disappointed but I do realize that it was a p4 and things do bug out. The thing I was mostly disappointed in p4 was lack of communication from SE. From what I recall it took them about 2 days to respond to 3102 and 90k error, which left people in blind. In early access, I was very disappointed at the company. Having the server fall apart and doing about 5 maintenances was very unprofessional from SE. They should have known how many people preordered and having major server issue from p4 they would be prepared for this. However, servers did fall and a lot of people could not enjoy EA as much as others. I’m sure they had their reasons but, I can safely say that we expected better. Hopefully with coming server expansions and fixes next week it will totally get better and everyone can enjoy the game!

-Video restrictions
I am not really following this topic as closely as I should, but from my understanding I think SE is making a mistake by having NDA throughout p4 and EA. I would assume having people stream and making youtube videos are pretty much free advertisement for their game and company. The game was pretty much done for release, so why not make people advertise it for you for free? I guess they had their server problems but people who were playing without problem could stream and many people could watch and have the interest to play. For example, Blizzard’s new TCG “Hearthstones” have a lot of attention due to famous streamers playing the game. This is free publicity. What I remember, any publicity is good publicity.

-UI changes?
This is just my wishing thinking about new features that could be added to the game.
- Inventory management
- Item link on chat/preview of item model
- Instant skills being instant rather than having 1 secondish delay
- Able to talk to NPC while mounted
I’m sure there are many more things that people want changed but those are few things I really want. <3
So there you go. My long post of rambling, the good things and bad things about the game. I’m sure there are things people do agree and disagree, let me know on comments what you think. I would love a good discussion!
