DUTY FINDER IS RUBISH!

FEAR NOT! I have a logical argument to vent my frustration with.

Its so bad... when I need to do a quest dungeon and need to wait there for an hour because i dont want to spend 1k gil teleporting back to the area to hand the crap back in and meanwhile there are usually half a dozen or so people hanging out front of the dungeon and they must just go AFK because no one wants to part up.

Maybe if they let arcanists join as healers i wouldnt need to spend all day just derping outside of the dungeon.

At this point I would honestly prefer they just removed the Duty Finder all together... get rid of it and good riddance to the useless crap.

Why are you spending "all day derping outside of the dungeon" anyway?
That's not how it's supposed to work. You register for a Duty then you go away to do your usual stuff on the game until you get called in.

why is it so hard for people to just invite a tank or healer to the group before you sign up?

Are you selecting ALL the available languages in the Duty Finder and not leaving there only the default (I assume E in your case?) one? That dramatically decreases the waiting times.

Same here - hardly ever get any waiting times at all - but that's common for Conjurers though.

You don't need to stand outside the dungeon. When you get called in through Duty Finder, it will teleport you into the dungeon from wherever you are.

Also, if there are a bunch of people just standing around outside the dungeon, and you want to play as a healer, just make a party from the people standing around outside the dungeon. If you've got enough people to enter the dungeon, you can go in with whatever party make-up you want. If you need 4 people to enter, and you've got 4 people in your party, you can all play whatever classes you want: 4 DPS, 4 healers, 4 tanks, 4 miners.

1. Mark all languages, don't accept only one language parties.
2. Agree to join even parties in progress, the DF will show how far the group is before you agree to join it.
3. Shout in a city or dungeon area to find a tank / healer / full group before queueing. Or ask in your LS / FC chat.

Its not the duty finder that is rubish its your class/job. Far to many people playing the easy classes (DDs.) and not enough people playing the classes that take some effort and skill.

As a healer i have done all 3 starter dungeons, and never had to wait a seocnd, it pop up instantly. Same of the Leve quests. The problem is most people roll DPS classes, run outside a dungeon and i see 30+ DPS and maybe 1-2 healers / tanks.

Failing that just ask a healer or tank, make friends. This is nothing SE can fix, its just the normal MMO issue of most people wanting to be the pew pew i make this dead class as always.
