Controller occasionally unresponsive on PC

I am using a controller on the PC version of FFXIV and occasionally the controller will become unresponsive. Sometimes it is once every ten minutes, sometimes it happens once a minute. The unresponsiveness lasts a few seconds then it will come back.

This happens with every controller I use with the game. I've used a Wireless 360 controller, and the PS3 controller plugged in via USB with MotioninJoy software. They both exhibit the bug.

This bug also occurred in beta 3 and on beta 4.

me and my wife have the same problem. But it´s more of a lag. When i use the analog Stick then it takes some time for the game to recognize it. When i release it it keeps walking for a bit then stops.

It only happens sometimes can´t find the problem there.

Yes that's exactly it. It's most noticeable with the analog sticks, but it can happen with button presses too. It's just far less likely to occur. The problem has gone on so long I really wish we could hear an acknowledgement of the problem and that it's being looked at. :(

My sister is currently trying to configure her PS3 controller to work with the PC version...since she hasn't been able to get in-game yet, I'm not sure if she is also going to have this problem. She is using MotionJoy as well. The current problem she is having is on character creation. The camera is continuously rotating around the character and she can't figure out how to get it to stop. Is this a configuration problem, and if so, how is it fixed?

Might be a different issue. I know it worked for me when I set MotioninJoy to emulate a 360 controller. It's the bullet point with XInput as an option.

I've been having the same issue. Character continues running, camera continues turning, D-pad does not register (have to press several times), buttons don't register (have to press several times). Calibrated my controller several times (in Windows and in game). Moved to several different USB ports (USB2 and USB3). No luck. Verified that my controller works perfectly fine in other games.
