Same gear problem

With the removal of color names from gear, how will a macro know how to select the right piece.
Example: I have felt bracers +1 w/ str and blue felt bracers +1 w/ dex melds... How will my macro know to pick the dex meld hands when I'm on brd after the color removal3?

can you explain that in like dumb people terms. Using examples helps dumb people a lot, also pop up pictures with arrows!

Images? Not really, because images of the new drag & drop UI are not widely released.

But ill try...

They are implementing "gearsets", that will allow you to store in memory, not just the name of everything equipped at one time, but allowing you to pinpoint which exact item to store. Based on the wording of the dev posts, you can macro this, such as:
/equip gearset 1

That way everything you want equipped will be equipped at the same time, instead of needing to wait for a 10-line macro.

OMG setting your gear then changing to another job, you will unequip said gear,
but when you switch back ti the first,
ALL the gear you had on will re-equip, want a link to this happening in the game?

If you watch when he changes to crafting, you pick carpenter, the gear changes, then you click change job and confirm
all the archer gear comes off.
Later, he changes to botanist, and the same thing happens.
