Legacy promotes gil sellers

Doesn't it benefit gil farmers more in XIV to have more characters on concurrently than to have more character slots to switch to one at a time though?

I guess it works out for them as far as harvesting is concerned, but that is also a benefit for legitimate players too so seems like a wash.

If anything it doesn't work well for gilsellers considering they have accounts banned rather frequently voiding the real usefullness of Legacy.

Once they get banned they lose legacy status anyways. That is if the special task force ever activates.

It still wouldn't benefit them, they can only sign into one character at a time. Also if one of their characters gets banned I'm going to assume that their entire account will get banned.

Can you people stop finding things to troll about? Now you are against legacy status. You got to be kidding???

People are questioning but also being cautious on the matter. I would be that way too, but this thread did make a valid point. Though I can agree that you can't exploit the 8 character Legacy status as you can have only one of those 8 active at a time.

Btw, I also have a friend in real life with your character's name lol And I've seen you before on Excalibur. You have awesome armor, dude! :)

No, because "gil seller" use mainly the Free-Month, then create a new Account. They are not even able to get Legacy. Just check several Names from those "RMT Trains" and you will realize that you will rarely see one which is older than 4 weeks.

I won't be concerned. Squenix has planned this campaign thoughtfully so that by the time it was announced, they had investigated many accounts before banning them. I would've too, by the time gil-farmers have time to start another character or account, it would be too late for them to qualify to be a legacy player. (hence the reason SE didn't do anything about botting and RMT at the beginning)

Players need to let the company do it's job and not panic. They have the public interest as well as their corporate interest.
