Now I know they have a logic to em, because I was throwing chi blasts back on ff11 mnk when mnk was a beast. Back then, we popped em in the butts of little ankle biters who scampered away at low Hp as that itty bitty life finisher. But here, where stuffs so watered down. . .

6…..k….fireballs. Not even spammable abilities…but weapon skills.

Not Goku’s kamahamaha, notvRyu’s haduuuuuken. . .

But 8bit Nintendo Super Mario’s fireballs.

If I see you get finished by one of these fireballs and you’re on my team, and I watch you fall and make that ‘aaah, ooff!’ death sound, imma just quit and go do something else. I can’t do it. This new skill is such a joke. Completely out of the blue with no synergy in the kit. Feels bad to use. Why touch monk if it's to neuter it.

Ok while I get that the fireball ability of Flint's Reply sucks, to claim it has no synergy is simply wrong.

Both Flint's Reply and Fire's Reply proc Pressure Point. This allows for cheeky cleanups if you go in and Wind's Reply (Buffed by Phoenix Rising pre-prepped) -> Fire's Reply.

Both Fireball's (Flint and Fire) allow for cleanup kills on runaways and stops on elixir.

Both versions allow for some engagement at range which has literally never been an option before.

The Anti Synergy if ANYTHING is that Rising Phoenix is what locks Fire's Reply. A short range PBAoE is the block for a ranged AoE. Really an odd choice.

NOW NOW NOW, I am not saying this is better than old Monk with the stun, but to claim there is no synergy at all is just silly. It just isn't as good as old Monk in terms of 1 vs 1.
