Idea: Reactive quests and the player's impact on the world
I would like there to be more reactive quests in the game. In other words, quests that have a visible impact on the world. Too often have I finished a quest line, only to find that the status quo remains.
For example, imagine a farmer with an empty field. Completing a series of quests around the farm, such as clearing monsters, fetching seeds, and finding farmhands, would eventually transform the barren land into swaying fields of wheat. You would have made a noticeable impact on the world itself.
Another example involves a local adventurer who has gone missing from the village. You track them down, find their body, and clear a stone quarry of enemies. This would result in a small memorial statue being erected in the village plaza.
The wheat fields and statue weren't there when you first arrived in the area. But now, every time you pass by, you will know that you made it happen. You've left a lasting impact.
We already have some of these in the major quests (e.g. MQ or Hildibrand). However, having numerous similar reactive minor quests spread throughout the world would make players feel like they are making a ground-level impact too.
