The Omega Protocol, Mechanics lead to players surpassing the 30 Effects cap, DPS worr
I see my previous thread was moved to inssuficent information, so I will provide an example of a buff situation in The omega Protocal, which might trigger the Buff/Debuff limit to activate, and hurt the DPS potential of a player.
I have also come aware that some of these issues could arise before the completion of Hello World .
I'm about to list a possible party, and a possible list of buffs on one player.
Assuming DRG, BRD, MNK, SMN, AST, SCH, GNB, WAR.
DRG can potentially have their Power Surge [1], Life Surge [2], Dragon Sight [3], Battle Litany [4], The Wanderer's Minuet [5], Radiant Finale [6], Battle Voice [7], Meditative Brotherhood [8], brotherhood [9], Searing Light [10], Nature's minne [11], Troubadour [12], heart of light [13], Catalyze [14], Galvanize [15] , Fey Illumination [16], Whispering Dawn [17], Seraphic Veil[18], Expedience [19], Divination [20], The Balanced [21], sacred soil [22], Mantra [23], blood bath [24], True North [25], Lance Charge [26], Well Fed [27], FC buff #1 [28], FC Buff #2 [29], Tincture [30], plus up to six Hello world buffs [36]
Even if someone were to go cross world to lower the amount of Buffs by 2, to avoid FC buffs, this is still putting us over the cap
The game has a buff cap of 30, and will take priority of adding the Buffs and debuffs from the enemy (Omega).
A job like Dragoon here wont be able to complete most of their combos, as most of their combos rely on receiving a buff, namely Wheel in Motion, Fang and Claw Bared, Draconian Fire, and Dive Ready. This also affects jobs such as Monk, who need to swap between forms, and Ninja's mudras.
This will severely limit their DPS, and has pushed some teams to consider swapping jobs, I fear that this is not healthy for a game that prides itself in keeping jobs balance.
Damage down has no priority as well.

This image has come from The Omega Protocol, and the interesting things, is that, Damage down has no priority, so this creates an awkward mix that, some DPS struggle to maintain their rotation by reaching cap, but also, you don't get punished as hard for not solving the mechanic properly
