Weather In Cities
I think this is somewhat an immersion factor.. but I guess part of me is somewhat interested.
Is it possible to develop weather in cities? I often recall Burmecia from FFIX. Can anyone see a pros and cons to this? It seems a little weird that it's rainy in The Black Shroud, but sunny in Gridania... always.
Anyways, I thought this would be a good suggestion. This could be pertinent to quests too, like they used to be in FFXI.

I too would enjoy seeing different weather effects in towns. It would immerse me greatly!

The lack of rain in Gridania can be attributed to the cooperation between Gridanians and Elementals, but that's sort of a lazy excuse. I like the idea of rain or wind storms in towns, although the walls of Ul'dah are too high for sand storms. I read that briefly in the end of April there was rain everywhere at once, even in towns, as one of the strange occurrences related to the Seventh Umbral Era.
I'd also like to see heat waves. Anywhere.

I anticipate it being difficult with special event weather and the such, but why not? I love the idea of a rainstorm as I leave my inn.. Maybe duststorms are difficult to simulate, but rain, clouds, thunderstorms can easily happen, right?
I just like there being less stagnation occurring in towns. Stuff is suppose to be ever changing.

I absolutely love weather when I run out to fields, and the few times I just run right into Ul'dah and the rain is still going, it looks wonderful!
I think it would add alot more character to each city and it seems like something relatively simple to do development-wise!
