So anyone know what the heck that big tree in the fringes is?

All these years, and I swear it must had been a dungeon at one point since there is like a some kind of blocked off path if you look closely inside the tree.

It's involved in an Ananta daily quest where you sprinkle some cleansing tonic on its roots, but that's the extent of its involvement with anything as far as I can recall.

It does very much look like an unused entrance, so perhaps it'll be used for side content eventually if they decide to retread Stormblood locales.

As I recall, it's main plot revelance is that it was where the last vial of Black Rose was buried after Gaius ordered the original project that created it abandoned during his time as Ala Mhigo's Viceroy, only for it to be recovered and ultimately spirited away back to Garlemald by Garlean agents where it was recreated and.. yeah... you know the rest.

I can't remember the exact details though.
