The 6.2 updated portrait and adventurer plate system is terrible
Although it's cool to have plates easily linked to different gearsets in PVP, this new portrait system takes away the freedom of making portraits that can be saved as unused presets, which we had in the beta version.
The update also removed the ability to import an instant portrait into your adventurer plate (or vice versa), and the two systems are now completely separate. If someone wanted to use a job-specific instant portrait on their adventurer plate, they would have to remake it on the AP interface from scratch.
There is no way to create multiple portraits for your AP, other than taking screenshots of portrait settings and trying to recreate them every time.
The PVP instant portrait feature is also incredibly inconsistent due to the way it's linked to gearsets, and I've lost count of the times I've queued into CC only to find that my portrait has somehow been unlinked.
TLDR: The adventurer plate and portrait system is still buggy, unintuitive, and doesn't deserve to be called an "official release".
