Reminder to those with gardens/flowerpots in use

Especially important information for those who are using gardens for the first time.

Active gardens are still tied to real time even when servers are down for maintenance.

To make certain what you're growing does not die during a 24 hour maintenance, move your garden patches into your Outdoor Storeroom before maintenance starts. (Do not place into your inventory - that will destroy what's being grown.)

That suspends the growth cycle timer. You can place your garden patches back in your yard when you log back in after maintenance and the growth cycle timers will resume where they had been when placed into storage.

This also applies to anything you might be growing in flowerpots in your house, FC room or apartment. Place those into storage as well so they will not die during maintenace.

Items like shards, Voidrake, Althyk Lavender that have a growth cycle of 24 hours or less and do not need tending are safe to leave out.

Yes. As long as it's in the Storeroom the growth cycle is suspended. That's helpful if you don't have friends available to help tend your garden for you (players don't need to be tenants to tend another player's gardening but they're unable to plant, fertilize, harvest or remove crops if they aren't).
