[REQUEST] Portable Repair Kits

With the release of Dragonsong Reprise Ultimate, a lot of players have been running into the problem of needing to repeat the door boss after many wipes to subsequent phases. The door boss has a checkpoint that is lost if somebody needs to exit the instance, I.E. when the timer runs out or when someone's gear breaks. This strongly incentivizes players to level crafters just to efficiently prog combat content, which many players feel is an unnecessary inconvenience. One solution might be to have Portable Repair Kits as a mastercraft item, perhaps with some semi-rare or expensive material for crafting to limit their ubiquity (Maybe a Purple Scrip mat?). A solution such as this wouldn't invalidate standard repair vendors (who would most likely remain cheaper than purchasing a kit from the market board), but it would remove the necessity of leveling crafters just to prog for a full lockout without needing a backup set of gear.

Or just allow players to repair other players gear, same as we're able to meld/advanced meld it.

You can get all crafters to 90 in less than a week. Then just keep a stack of dark matter in your inventory. If you're willing to prog a new ultimate on release, levelling a crafter is baby stuff.

This would be nice. Anybody with crafters sufficiently leveled should be able to do the job. I wouldn't mind this.

Of course, it should come at some sort of Material cost or at most some lengthy cooldown. Otherwise a "Repair Hammer or Mending Kit" I could see as a potential boon.

Support. Some people just don't like crafting, and making them craft in order to raid efficiently is an annoyance.

If you want Gear Repair Kits to be more expensive than going to a Mender, there's no need to make them a Master Craft or require scrip materials - simply put more than one Dark Matter in the recipe, as the extant Magitek Repair Materials do. (They also require an outdated timed node material, but that's not really necessary.) This would have the bonus of providing another market for crafters who want to make bulk consumables but don't want to do Master Crafts for raid food and potions.
