About Chandelier Lighting at 0

My FC lights most of the house with tabletop and wall fixtures, but otherwise we like to keep the place dark. In fact, we like it best with the lighting at zero. But the problem with this is that having the lighting at zero literally turns the fixture dark. We like the fixtures, and would rather they be on, even though it keeps our house lighter than we like.

Is there a way you could develop an option to leave the chandeliers on but have them emit no or ultra-low light at some point in your dev time? Or a separate slider that changes light illumination and light illumination appearance so that they are independently toggled? I know it's probably a low priority, but it would really give us more lighting options, considering our lighting is spaced for aesthetic reasons.
