PvP needs some sound design love
We need better audio cues. I'm tired of having to look at my bars to double check that a skill went off. Nothing like completely messing up my damage combo because wild fire actually didn't go off. Each skill that you use that successfully goes off should play a sound that stands out so you know if and when your key press has been taken into account. For instance, maybe you pressed the key just before the end of the gcd, so the lack of audio feedback would let you know it didn't go off and you can press it again.
(or even better, you could be able to queue up an ability if pressed within a short delay before the end of the gcd, which would then go off as soon as the gcd ends, like that other game does)
We also need better audio balance, there are lots of useless sounds that are louder or as loud as important ones.
And for the love of god, we need an audio cue when the wind storm thing is about to go off. One of the only cue is the storm weather thing but it begins like a hundred years before.
The other cue is the countdown at the top of the combat frame but that's always be going to be out of the way because no one wants to put the combat log smack in the middle of the screen. Maybe separate it in a different frame? I'd love to put it in big, smack in the middle of the screen, frankly.
I'm sure there are people who are able to anticipate it just fine as is and who will jump into the thread saying its fine, but it's not. All people are different and a sufficient cue for one person may be lacking for others. Judging by the huge number of people getting caught off guard by this I would think the existing cues are unsufficient for most people.
