Switching platforms during congestion?

I totally get that we can't open new service accounts/bring in new players at the moment.

But why, when I have an active account, can I not buy or trial the game on another platform? I's not as though I can log my account on both machines at once!

I play on PS & I wanted to check out whether I'd prefer it on PC, it would have zero effect on the number of players, so I don't understand why I'm not allowed to do this.

Also, sorry to repeat myself from a previous post, but why can't I plug & play a USB keyboard on PS just for chat? Others have tried to help me with this already, but I can't make it work.

The only way the game will recognize the keyboard is if I switch to keyboard & mouse mode, then my controller doesn't work properly. Can they not add a "keyboard for chat only" option for console gamers? (Hence my wanting to check out the PC version!)

Sorry, I'm a moron! The keyboard I was using was broken. Working fine now.
I still wanna try out the PC version though.
