"Adequate skill guarantees success."
I must be confused. I just tried Hasty Hand for my first time, on a recipe that's of equal level to my crafting class. Result: Instant 100 durability loss.
So what's the definition of "adequate skill"?

If you're much higher than the level of the recipe. Like say 15-20 ranks higher.
I don't think it's that much higher. I Hasty Hand all my local leves that stop giving decent XP, for example, Steel Rivets at L30. I haven't had a single break while doing this. You may just have to be strictly higher than the level of the recipe.
It is definitely less than 10 levels. I Hasty Handed my 41-50 stage for Pan of the Luminary @ r50 CUL without a single break.
Hasty Hands="Achievement Easy Pass" lol. Level wise being 1 level higher then recommended is enough to always have 100% but if you try a synth that's the same lv you have a chance of failing. I did this with Knight's Bread when I hit 38 my first attempt at hasty Hands failed, so I went straight to 39. Once I hit 39 I kept doing Hasty hands until it broke but let's just say I never failed at 39 lol.
