More NPC escort/assist quests.

Endwalker quest that feature escorts that dont know /beckon are AWESOME. The fact that we can talk sometimes even better. I hate fetch/back and forth quests, even if its SquareEnix method of time sink and exploration.

Supe up the NPC to actually assist with fight and heal, temporarily and I'd love the quest that much more. I can even imagine the "bag the enemy" and "weaken the enemy with potion" quest if the NPC help while I fought and did the bag and weaken actions.

Heck, Company squadron training would be cool too.

They were boring, annoying and didn't end up adding anything important narratively. I don't care what that fountain in Sharlayan represents. I don't need you to give me directions on where to go when I already know where to go. I don't need NPCs that act like toddlers throwing a temper tantrum because I need to give 5 minutes of my attention to something else mid-quest or failed to stop at a check point so they could tell me they think the view is pretty.

Worst of all, they were far too frequent. It's like the developers just had to keep playing with their new toy they dreamed up not accepting that some people aren't going to like that toy. They helped push Endwalker down to Stormblood MSQ enjoyment level because they disrupted the game experience so much that they ruined enjoyment of the story. I'm in zero rush to repeat the MSQ on my alts because I just don't want to deal with those quests. Compare that to Shadowbringers where I was still eager to repeat MSQ despite the equally annoying RP duties.

We should have been given the option of whether or not they accompany us. Give us the option to say "Come with me" or "You go on ahead, I'll catch up". Or leave them strictly to side quests so people can ignore them without impeding their game progress.
