A thank you letter to the community and the dev team

Amidst all this chaos with the login queues and hate against the dev team i want to share this with you.

Dear dev team, dear community,

i'll try to keep this as spoilerfree as possible. A 10 year chapter comes to a close with this MSQ. When i joined back in 2015 at the end of ARR i was thinking, can this game catch me. I was skeptical after searching for years for an MMO-home. Reading the game had a poor launch and 1.0 had to undergo a 8 months (was it?) maintenance to be re-launched with 2.0. I think i joined at 2.3 or 2.4 or something.

And now after this MSQ (Not even fully done yet. Just right before the grand finale of it all), when i look back of this ascian arc i walked with all of you. I feel nothing but gratitude. Sure, we had ups and downs, happy and sad moments, infuriating and funny moments. We see players leave and new players join the community. Eorzea is a second home for me. Maybe i am too invested into this game but the bond i share with my character means a lot to me. For me no other game can do that. The emotions on this 6,5 years journey i felt together with my character is something only ffxiv can do.

I hope this game continues for many more years.

Just wanted to share my feelings about the journey i get to walk with all of you.
