How To Send My Retaiiners on Ventures

I rolled a new character and leveled her up to 50 with the plan to have more retainers to send out on ventures.

I am unable to figure out how to do that and hope someone here can help me figure out what I need to do.

I have completed the pre-requisite quest (something about copper) from Momodi in Ul'dah because I have access to Copperbell Mines. When I go to Momodi to undertake the quest "The Scions of the Seventh Dawn", which Google says has to be completed before retainers can go out on ventures, there is no icon over her head and she will not talk to me.

I also went to Tataru (who I think is the NPC Momodi sends me to, and he also has no icon over his head and will not talk to me.

So until I can figure out what I need to do..... all my efforts to level up this character in order to send retainers out on ventures is on hold.

There is a quest (found in any of the major cities) called "An Ill-conceived Venture". Find it, complete it, you'll learn about the currency called Ventures. And THEN you can send out retainers when you have the currency.

Thank you DPZ! That was it! I am now able to send my retainers out on ventures.. WHEW!

I looked for that quest icon on the map of Steps of Nald, but didn't see it..... probably in too much of a hurry as I often am.
