Resistance Weapons
As a returning player who missed out the Ridorana Lighthouse raid, it is impossible to get a full 24man raid to clear the quest pre-requisite as of now.
I understand that there is some storyline connecting it to the resistance weapons (might be wrong), but are there any future plans to remove this requirement?

Trikki, since your character is in a server located in Japan, be sure to have the "J" language highlighted in your Duty Finder settings.
If you don't know how to access your Duty Finder settings, choose the Duty Finder tab, and then click on the small gray circle with a cog in it on the upper left hand corner.
Back onto the question you were asking in your last sentence, they probably won't remove it soon because the current Relic quest is basically encouraging players to try out the Ivalice Alliance Raids.

Both the new relic questline and the current moogle tome event are funneling huge numbers of players into the Ivalice raids so there should be no problem queuing up for them. If you're trying to use the Party Finder to do it, don't. 24-mans rarely fill in Party finder. Just queue up for it regularly and it will fill up in a relatively short amount of time.

The fact that they have a story link from the Ivalice raids to the resistance weapons means its highly unlikely that the requirement will ever be changed. But ill also agree that this is the best time to try to run these since they were current. The mogtome event is funneling people into them, people wanting to get into the resistance story are doing them(at least once each anyway), and there are still people who can get pulled in from the mentor or alliance roulettes to help fill the ques. Like Rokku said, make sure japanese is selected as a matchable language for you then just que during your servers prime time. Ques during prime time should be typically less then 15 minutes, regardless of class.

Right now is a good time to try to Ivalice raids, since they give moogle tomestones, that means more people will be running them.
