So, is it me or is it us that are causing the server-wide crashes sometimes because we flood the crap out of Ishgard FATEs? I've noticed this on multiple data centers that every time it's up, somebody is getting 90k'd out the ass because actions are flooding into the servers with a mass amount of people from FATE actions.
I don't think I've ever dcd during the Ishgard fates. I think it's more a bunch of people on poor connections/hardware that lag out, over anything. You see that in special fates all the time, it's nothing new.
Servers have not been crashing due to Firmament FATEs, nor have I heard any complaints of players outside of Ishgard being DC'd during one.
I do know people who are in the Firmament will sometimes get DC'd during the FATE if the instance is packed to capacity but that's an issue of the player having an older system or very slow internet connection. Disabling all battle effects and name display can help.
