For the love of the twelve can we have Cape Westwind remade into a solo trial or something? I'm honestly sick of having to fight this stupid striking dummy every other time I queue for trials.

Would rather have a quick and easy Cape Westwind run that lasts under a minute then a 10+ minute run of Titania normal because people don't understand basic mechanics.
He's the saving grace of Trials Roulette.
Lol this reminds me of a funny story. A friend of mine who was still new to the game got out of a que and was highly upset. When I asked him why he said he just had to tank the hardest thing in game he's ever challeneged yet. I asked what it was and he said Cape Westwind... Me and him have a good laugh about that these days now that he's a vet player.
I dont know. Ive had an awful lot of fun over the years trying to scare sprouts with stories about how hard the first 8 person trial is while waiting out a que or cutscene. Though i honestly wouldnt complain if they went the other way and reduced the ilvl sync to something lower(maybe in the 50-70 range?). I dont know if he has any mechanics, and it might be fun to find out.
is this bait?
I unlocked gunbreaker on my alt just before it was time to do Cape Westwind, and went into the trial alone unsynched - initially thinking just to watch the cutscene then re-queue normally, but then I thought why not try this...?
Turns out it's a reasonably even match - there aren't any serious mechanics that I encountered, just some AoEs and the soldiers he calls in to assist him. I did it first try, but it wasn't a walkover.
It was a lot more satisfying than the eight-man "blink and it's over" version.
I do think the fight could use some tweaking to make it more enjoyable, though that applies to Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium as well. Given how easy they are at this point it's a rather inglorious finale for the characters who meet their end within.
Na, I love when it pops.
