Why are abyssal drain and salted earth so weak?
I started leveling drk again since I want all jobs to 80, and it feels... gutted, but what mostly stood out to me was how weak the abyssal drain and salted earth were. salted earth stands on 90 second cd, with a cd like that it should be a powerful ability, but it's a 300 potency dot aoe, nothing else, I don't really understand how it deserves such a long cd. It should either be more powerful, or have some other effect tacked to it, like mp or blood restoration. Same with abyssal drain, it at least has 60 sec cd, but has a pitiful 200 potency, what is this? And a 200 potency heal? Why even bother? Would it really break the game for it to actually have a useful heal?
Now, I figured this probably has something to do with them being aoe, so buffing them would put drk on top of aoe damage in dungeons, but really, that's fine, tanks shouldn't be balanced around dungeon aoe damage anyway, gunbreaker is ahead of it in damage on dungeons, buffing those 2 cooldowns would probably put in on par with gunberaker, that's ok.
Dark Knight already has the lowest damage with warrior depending on the fight, I think it's completely reasonable to make those 2 abilities worthwhile, why not tie them to mp and make managing mp actually meaningful? Buff them up, lower their cd and make them cost mana, and make them not refresh darkside, I don't even understand why it's in the game anymore right now, it just automaintains itself.
