Hilda/Hien hairstyle: I see you and raise one Gyr Abanian plait + Scouting headband
I haven't been around as much lately, so I am not sure if someone has already beat me to it. I wanted to post some pics of a bit of a 'glamoured' hairstyle, so-to-speak.
Many of us want more of the longer hairstyles, including voluminous updos like Hilda's and Hein's. What I did was combine the Gyr Abanian Plait along with the Titanbronze Headband of Scouting, and tried to get the same shade of dye along with hair color to create a modified version of the hairstyle that is longer. Gimme a glitch, and I'll take a mile ;p
It's far from perfect. From various angles you can tell there are two pieces at play, shading and hair physics are a bit off, but nothing as bad as a full blown gear clip. Using gpose, good angles, and maybe even some touchup work, you can get some good pictures of your character going on.
I'm still progressing through the main story so I do not know if there are more headgear options like this down the road. If not, you're kinda SoL unless you're a stabby NIN. Hopefully down the road SE might release more dyeable versions for other classes, or just give in and give us more hairstyles like these.
Here are some pics. I lightened my hair a bit in some pics to try to blend, and darkened slightly in others to intentionally exhibit the two pieces. Can definitely try more color and dye options, but a direct shot in the back without angle assistance will definitely expose the ruse. Give it a try!
