I don't know if I'm first on Lindblum to get this but it rocks, and looks awesome.

At least it's better than the Sticksword that we got from Chimera... though I'd still use a double meld kite shield over it.

Enmity effect is.... underwhelming (I think it's like each enmity = 0.1%). I guess if you really stack it and get to 80 - 100 enmity (again, trade off is about each enmity for 6 hp, so you would lose about 500 - 600hp over it, or equivalent in def/vit), it can be good.

I'm sorry but how does a double melded Kite/Vintage Shield with lets say +60HP(x2)=120HP become an equivalent of 500-600 HP? Where do you get the enmity equivalent of 1 enmity for 6 hp as well?

I'm asking for an answer because I'm not understanding your response when it comes to the math.

About the stacking of Enmity though.

Gallant Crown +5 Enmity
Gallant Surcoat +3 Enmity
Sentinel Sabatons +9 Enmity
Gallant Gauntlets +4 Enmity
Coral Armillae +8 Enmity

I also have a Cobalt Plate Belt with +19 Enmity

and then add the new shield with +10 Enmity

That's 58 Enmity right there.

Paladin AF already has a lot of enmity into the armor, and when I get Heavy Darklight Gear it'll be a ton more Enmity.

5.8% extra enmity is nothing, but...

45+ From Heavy Darklight Gloves
25+ From Heavy Darklight Flanchard
45+ From Heavy Darklight Armor
24+ From double +12 enmity materia to belt
24+ From double +12 enmity materia to sword (or get 1 more enmity from maddening dagger)
10+ From Thormoen's Purpose
10+ From Coral Armillea +1
10+ From Stonewall Earrings

193+ Enmity for an extra 19.3% aggro/hate/threat/enmity.

Seems useful for provoke (30s cd), flash (30s cd), war drum (60s cd), rampart (120s cd), heals and weapon skills if they do decent damage, but only if you stack it religiously and can afford to drop HP (currently a valid issue imo when chimera hits for 3100 damage WS if you get animation locked and a full AF paladin only has like 3200-3400 HP.)

Only fight so far that I've seen hate issues on is chimera and that is fixed by warrior tanking lol.

Looks Sick Techno.. cannot wait till I get my hands on that!!

Obviously I'm not saying shield = 600 HP
If you read my response again, I said you can basically choose 80-100 enmity or 500-600 HP overall

Basically:
Belt (20 Enmity or 120 HP)
Boot (9 enmity or 50-60 HP) - This accounts for people feels more comfortable add an extra materia on Cobalt rather than Sentinel
Wristband - (10 Enmity or 60 HP)
Shield - (10 Enmity or 120 HP)
Sword - (20 Enmity or 30-35 VIT, obv you can't put HP there, but the trade off is still true)
PLD / WAR AF leg doesn't quite count since it has other benefit

Above is 70 Enmity trade off for 450~ HP and some VIT, and would be 90/600 if goes for some triple melds

On the other hand, if you have Darklight, then there is not much argument (though I'd still use double HP felt trous/sentinel boots over), but that's more speaking to the power of Darklight than trade off benefits

For my enmity gears I have + 21 Sword, + 19 Belt, +9 Sentinel boots with 157 HP, 10 Earring 10 Wrist, PLD AF hat/body/glove + 12 for 81 Enmity.

However for tanking NM, I use 213 HP Cuirass, 110 HP Belt, 60 hp Wrist (I do use AF glove over 143 HP gauntlet but that's more due to Holy Succor enhancement than anything else) and 31 VIT Sword end up with 28 enmity and alot more survivability.
