Shifting Altars of Uznair

Anyone else feel this place needs some serious adjustment? Yeah, I've heard a lot of people say it's better for them simply because they don't have to move from floor to floor, but speaking in terms of profit, it's trash. At least in Canals the gil output gradually ramps up the further in you go, but in Altars you can get garbage blue tiles the whole way through, and you only get 50k for clearing the whole thing. And on a side note, and maybe it's just me, but the fakeout seems to happen with Atomos at a MUCH lower chance than it does with the doors in Canals.

tl;dr-
Rewards and/or success rate need to be upped for this place to stop being awful.

Says you. I much prefer the new one we got rather than fight enemies and go door by door. I make plenty of gil just from the shifting altars. Hell, I rather they replace the door to door one (I suppose other than with thiefs) with shifting altars.

The only problem I have with the shifting altars (which I prefer to regular) is that it's possible to get Atomos on the first spin, meaning 0 chests. In regular canals (and Aquapolis), you get the first room, always.

In my experience, Shifting Altars is way better and more profitable. Lost Canals is netting us worthless items and gil, while we will come out of Shifting Altars a good portion of the time with 1mil in raw gil for a round.

I would rather them replace all maps with Shifting Altars tbh.

Is it? I got Atomos on the first one, but it was a fake out.

Not if the game glitches, and while everyone is still alive and killing the mobs, you get kicked out(still haven't heard anything about it when that happened and I submitted a bug report).

Yes, but that's also not the way the event is designed. Not that I think it's okay that what happened happened to you, that sucks =/. But the Altars are designed so that you can go in without actually getting anything at all, and I think that's lame.

I like it...

Though I do wish that treasure dungeons in general had slightly less RNG. Or, at the very least, when they become obsolete the RNG is tweaked to be much more generous. Finding people to run Aquapolis at this point is rather hard.
