Which server ought RP'ers regroup on? [SERVER MERGE]

I just realised, I really ought have made a thread for this.

As a lot of you probably know, the Final Fantasy XIV roleplay community generally considers Besaid its unofficial home.

Given the whole mess that's been set off, the above link is a thread the RPC has going on polling and discussing which server to focus on in the event S-E isn't dissuaded from this idea.

The RPC forums are limiting registrations somewhat to avoid anyone trying to spam the poll, just for now, but I still figured it best I post this here.

I put a petition for a rp server to be designated on the general forums. Please comment on there so the GM's will notice!

This is a plug to the RP community for Besaid in general. I like the way Besaid has panned out. Yes, the RP community has something to do with it but please dont ignore everyone else who has contributed to making Besaid what it is.

If some kind of rough consensus is come to, i hope the RPers will yeild to where Besaid as a whole will go. Anyone interested in RP might say "where is Besaid going?" and then just go with that since it is already established.

Splitting apart Besaid seems like kind of a waste of a nice community. Besaid is the host of RP, RP doesnt host Besaid. I cant see people who arent involved with RP but occupy Besaid saying "Where are the RPer's going because that is what entirely defines the Besaid community." This make any sense?

well, thing s, we just got the announcement, and the number of the server we go to really doesnt matter as long as a majority of the players who want to keep Besaid what it was, go to where the rest of us go.

let the RPists have their poll and choose the number, it really doesnt matter in the end, we can all just go with whatever number that is, and itl server the same purpose.

Any group which has their own agenda and wants a specific number is going to do that anyway so trying to get them to go with the group wont happen, let them go where they want to go.





PS: I hate RPists(the fact i call them as such should say something) but Besaid is what it is and I love it for that, so even I am willing to follow that and I am sure my shell is going to decide on what we want to do soon enough too.

Aye, I like many others I know am sticking with the RP Community; it's what brought me to Besaid, and it is what helps keep Besaid so active.

It's sad that Besaid is going to split. The reason it's the best server is thanks to it being the RP server, if Besaid goes to 8 and the RP server becomes 9, 9 would end up getting all the new and old RPers (and people that play on RP servers for the immersion) instead of 8 and it would end up being the new best server.

RP servers always have the best communities, as proven by Besaid and the communities of other MMO's.
