Rowena should have a male counterpart

Dear Devs and whoever else will read this,

Within the game you have given us a wonderful NPC named Rowena, that is integral to the whole of the market side of the story, but also shows off such wonderful outfits. She truly looks stunning in each of her looks as every update rolls out, I feel however there is one shortcoming to this approach.

There is no male counterpart to complement Rowena for those that adore fashion but may want to find something equippable, and strive to look as great.

The following is a proposal of sorts, or really more of a plea, please give us players who traverse this great world as males and give us something to appreciate. :o:o:o

Well technically Gerolt is her counterpart... but imagine him dressed up in all those glamours!!!

It'd be nice if there was a male NPC that showed off the latest cool outfits from the patch. But that would mean SE would have to actually put time and effort into making male glamours. Too many froofy dresses and fancy girly things to make- those waifus won't dress up themselves after all~

Gerolt is clearly not interested in fashion though, he's only interested in two things in life: being in his cups at the tavern or at his forge hammering out a masterpiece, often both at the same time. ;)

Redolent Rose I think instead satisfies the 'man of fashion' angle quite well (not surprising given he is the Guildmaster of the WVR'S Guild), even if his appearance at the Gold Saucer is such a flimsy deception (he just wore a face mask). Maybe have his attire for his appearance at the Fashion Report fittingly change with each patch? :D

Ooh, that’s a good idea having Masked Rose do it! Not Redolent Rose, goodness no, you must have confused him for someone else...

(Shocking twist: they’re actually twin brothers. Would explain the personality shift and how ‘he’ can be in both places at once!)


And yes, I totally realise Gerolt isn’t a suitable option for this, but I got a good laugh out of the mental image of him in, say, that jumper-and-scarf combo that came out alongside the jacket Rowena was wearing until recently...

Hancock could work.

Though first the developers would need to create more decent looking male glamour options. I believe some of the gear that Rowena wears doesn't even have a proper male counterpart...and when it does it isn't necessarily something that compliments the male form very well. Usually because some of it is very androgynous/feminine in design.

Given that we still haven't had a male custom delivery NPC, though, I won't hold my breath. As much as I love this game it screws over male characters at many points.

Rowena can keep her froofy dresses. I prefer practical outfits, thank you. (Even my current Skalla outfit is a bit impractical - the coat would be a pain, but otherwise I find it both fashionable and functional.)

B-besides, the Little Ladies' Day idol outfit from last year is frilly and girly enough for anyone, and there's a male version!
