Self-Reraise items?

Hello,

Unless I'm being ignorant, we don't have any form of self raise in XIV. I think it would be a huge help to our already overtaxed healers and other casters who can raise. There are phoenix downs that one player can use for another, but nothing we can use to prepare for the inevitable "oopsie".

Could we get a scroll from a vendor like our Grand Company or Hunt guilds? It could also be a crafting item for Alchemist that has a higher potency like no weakness.

It was a staple in FFXI where there was even a set of gear that would give you Reraise III if you kept the full set on.

There are folks struggling with older content that would benefit from the extra help, including healers who want to focus more on keeping people alive and even DPSing.

As much as I would love to see items like this implemented, they could quickly become a requirement, and not having said items would probably lead to being called out, some form of harrassment, being excluded from content and/or being kicked, reason being healers shouldn't have to waste their mp raising someone who should have reraise. The meta is extremely fickle about pushing as much dps as possible from all sources.

Plus, it's a spit in the face of every summoner. Losing battle raise utility really hurts them.

I dont see why this couldn't work in the open world, in instances though i'm not sure it would be a great addition. Realistically I would love it as a healer but it would detract a bit from my playstyle and some others. But if I was gathering or running around doing solo things I would love it.
