Let's talk about Surecast

When we saw role abilities many realized Surecast was there and many simply said it would never be taken. Then we were first shown the new text on the ability tooltip. Nullifies knockback and draw-in effects. Many became hopeful it would be an amazing skill, other still tought it would be bad.
My own tought about it? Surecast is amazing for mechanics that we were introduced on Stormblood. Both primals have Knockbacks and Draw-ins and today we were introduced to Omega's first raid tier, having more knockbacks too. Good touch of SE to give this effect to a previously almost unused skill.

So... seems amazing right? No. Unfortunately, it isn't. Surecast in its current iteration falls on the same issue original Disable (debuted at 3.0 and changed sooner later) had. It's great but unreliable. You've to time it perfectly to work since it will only help during a single spellcast. Seems nice on paper, it would require player skill to be used. In practice: FFXIV is a game with an extremly weird and unreliable netcode that leaves skills that need such precise timings as this and old Disable simply become unreliable. I still pop surecast on fiights as a BLM and WHM but I often see myself still getting affected by it almost like randomly. Also using it and not casting would simply break the ABC concept and not using it and dealing with the knockback would be better.

For those who can't remember old Disable was 10s duration and would work only on the next immediate skill the target would use and than fade away. Seems simmilar right? Later at first Heavensward's job balancement it got reduced to current 6s but would work on all skills, still requiring timing but not making you depend on server ticks and latency too much. Would it be broken to do the same or simmilar adjust to current Surecast? I want to hear people's opinions. Remember that SE "hear" the likes on the forums and Yoshida asked us to be more vocal about what we think about current state of skills.
