FF14: Crimson Liberators (Rough Japanese Translation for Stormblood)

I do not know if anyone else has possibly mentioned this, but am I the only one that likes the name Crimson Liberators more than Stormblood for the upcoming expansion? Or is that just me?

IMO Crimson Liberators sounds cooler, but I mean I guess we get the fighting expansion for real fighters :P

I like 'Stormblood' better. It sounds more imposing and 4.0 is very unlikely to paint liberation efforts in a pleasant light since this is a game that thankfully isn't afraid to ensure that the story has nuances and is morally grey.

Just pointing out that the Japanese title is 紅蓮の解放者 (guren no kaihōsha), which I would translate more as Liberators of the Crimson Lotus rather than just crimson as 蓮 (hasu) means lotus with 紅 (kurenai) meaning a dark-red/crimson colour.

The monk ability Fists of Fire is actually called 紅蓮の構え (guren no kamae) or Crimson lotus stance, so the Japanese title does seem to focus more specifically on our role as liberators of Ala Mhigo, which is nice. Still, I do like the name Stormblood ^.^

Well I do think it would be a nice word BUT in English as a language, Stormblood has more of a ring to it and follows 'Heavensward' as a mesh of two words. So it makes sense in the end.

Using Crimson Liberators or something of the sort as a subtitle or w/e would be nice just to explain what the expansion is all about.
