Battle effects

so how do people like to play me personally i like the effects but the same time they can get a bit messy and to flashy though i have never played with them off but feel it may not feel like an actually battle without the effects so im just wondering what peoples opinions are on this subject

I turn other people's effects completely off. I turn party member effects to partial. And keep mine at on.

Everyone do as he(she) likes. I play with "show limited"

It's OK when doing 4 man dungeons, but any bigger party instances, it becomes a nuisance, so I turn them off. With different looking AOE effects, it gets confusing on what is an attack against the boss or against you.

I keep it on in most of the fight, but sometime it gets really obnoxious when the boss is medium to small size, for example Lamebrix in A10S. Spells like Blizzard 4 and Fire 4 completely obfuscate the boss , while this might not be an issue for most jobs but for melee DPS where you have to do positional attacks things can get pretty wonky. Doesn't help that the boss like to spin around either.

Just yesterday I changed them to "Show limited" incuding mine.

I would love to keep them on but my poor graphics card can't handle it. So I keep the effects of others off and my own at "show limited".

I've gotten used to bright flashes of light being the effect.

O.o..didnt know we could turn other peoples effects off or partial...i mean, sometimes the are you are on is soo birhgt with soo many aoes and stuff exploding at once you cant even see wtf is going on.

I turn everyone elses effects off. I am the main character of my story. So I only need to see my effects.
