Relic Secondary Scaling [Piety and Healers]

So i finished my SCH book that started with 120 accuracy and 120 critical. It scaled to 133 accuracy and 133 critical. 26 secondaries were added.

Our statics WHM, went with 120 piety, 60 spell speed and 60 accuracy. It scaled to 127 piety, 66 spell speed and 66 accuracy. Only 19 secondaries were added. The spell speed and accuracy boosts seem reasonable, but the piety boost should have been up to 133. Yes, piety is very valuable and somewhat considered a main stat, but point per point it was considered equal to the other stats when allocating the custom 240 stats. Anyone else experience this poor scaling with piety?

I wonder if that scaling is because one weapon has 2 secondaries, and the other has 3? Kind of strange that the same amount of points for secondaries (26 for the 2-stat one versus 19 for the 3-stat) were different. You'd think they would all scale the same--but then again, if the 120 piety was increased to 133, that leaves 13 points left to split between the other two sub-stats, meaning one would have to be 1 point higher than the other.

Rather than making one stat one point higher than the other (and who knows if it would have been the stat one would have preferred be higher), SE had the 3-stat weapons scale like your raid mate's did.

It might be better to think about rates rather than just differences.

In the WHM example, the ACC and SS scaled at the same rate as ACC and Crit from the SCH example, so it is probably not an issue with the number of stats.

In the case of the Piety for the WHM weapon, it seems to scale at about half the rate of Crit, ACC, and SS. However, this seems odd because, as you mentioned, the allocation points for Piety were the same as the other stats. Thus, since none of the other stat/ilvl ratios change, it is odd that the Piety/ilvl ratio does change.

Are you sure that the allocation points for Piety go up to 120 and not 115? I know Determination only goes up to 115, and the 127/115 ratio is about the same as the 133/120 ratio.

Piety went up to 126. Maybe they gave it 7, to "cap" it at 133 with crit and accuracy. It really should be 139 if you invested entirely in maxing piety.

Hate to say it but 127 PIE sounds right if my thoughts are correct.

Consider this:

Pie on the i240 weapons cap at 126 ( according to Ariyala's calc ) . Since she put 120 points into the relic she'd end up 120/126 = 95.238% of the total PIE allowed.

95.238% of the capped 134 PIE on an i260 weapon 127 PIE.

Sorry to say, but I think that makes sense :/ In fact when I do this math the scaling seems so off too. PIE caps higher but the growth is slower than other stats? PIE seems to only get a max of +9 while other stats get +13? In fact it seems like every ten ilvls the cap only seems to raise by +4. ... I need to do some more research into this when I get more time >>;

[EDIT] So yeah, after doing some quick eye balling of the growth on the weapons post i180 (and assuming the caps on Ariyala's calc are correct), there are some interesting trends in the gear itemization >>; PIE does scale at around +4 every 10 ilvls while SpS, Acc, and Crit scale at like +6.5 every 10 ilvls and DET seems to have no real pattern at all... (i230 = 109; i240 = 115; i250 = 122; i260 = 126; i270 = 133 | or +6 to +7 to +4 to + 7 . . .)

Det only gets +9 too. If you chose det as well, you have extra points to put in since its only 115, which do not get enhanced. Noticed it on my hubbies SMN book.

Seems like how at the same stage of the original Relic you got bonuses if you went with a certain set of statistics.
