It was a great read, very interesting to see that letter and learn more about the exchange between Haurchefant and his father. It also appears whoever posted it accidentally posted the story twice in a row.

This was likely intentional. The first is for male player characters, and the second is if your character is female.

As for the story, I'm glad we got to see more about the Warrior of Light's #1 fan. It's a good way to end these side stories, even though it doesn't give us too much new info besides Haurchefant's relationship with his father.

I think the whole business about the deeds to Dragonhead is to give some backstory to the incoming Ishgard Appartment Housing. One of the Dragonhead NPCs has been saying since the end of 3.0 that Haurchefant wanted us to be able to use the Falling Snows as a permanent base.

The "Greystone Mansion" does have a nice ring to it, haha!

On topic, though, I thought it was a good way to end the stories. And I always like when the writers inject just that little bit of character into the Warrior of Light. Because so much of their character is decided by our responses, even a little comment by the writers sounds much more impactful.

I think it was a goof with the function to switch between male and female WOL. The previous story lets you switch genders.

You seriously trying to tell me they use ravens to convey messages in Westeros Eorzea? Is this backed up anywhere in-game? Should've just used pigeons like real life and FF6-life,

Shouldn't need birds of any kind, really. Linkpearls seem to be known to NPCs and commonplace. Got a little bit caught up in the medieval atmosphere, and forgot that Eorzea essentially has telephones!

I wasn't too impressed with this offering. The bulk of it was in showing us how much Haurchefant regarded us as a dear and true friend - as though that hasn't been hammered into us thoroughly already. The most interesting bit was the fact that his old man was apparently reluctant at first to provide us refuge - there certainly was no hint of that in any of our dialogues with him in-game so that, at least, was something new, and it lends support to the idea that the man is a capable politician, able to greet someone warmly and cordially whom he was not-so-long ago willing to leave out in the cold.

All in all, I found this batch of Tales to be a bit disappointing. They didn't provide a lot of insight into characters that we didn't already know or strongly suspect. Even the first, which I consider the best, didn't tell us anything about Charibert that we didn't already know - that he's a sadistic psychopath. It, at least, had the excitement of a duel to keep it afloat!

The Warrior of light, Slayer of Gods. Rider of Dragons. Savior of Ishgard. We are giving Dany T a run for her money.

SE how often do you want to stomp onto my broken heart...Q_Q? While its nice to see all those little story parts about Haurchefant, its also really heartbreaking to know that not only he will be gone from the story of this game after Heavensward (maybe some small mentions here and there) but that he will also be forever gone from the game too. :(

I kinda feel like his death is milked now since they know now that a lot of players liked his character. :/ Probably will stop reading anything about him in the future since its still hurts way to much (strange since I normaly get over such things way better). Please SE..if you have no plans to ever bring him back alive..please let him just rest in peace don't ever use him as any more means to invoke even more drama and sadness in our characters..

(Welp at least give me the chance to kick that servant, for loosing something precious as that letter..)
